  1. Documentation for "Cyclops V1.0" by Shadow.

  4. This disk contains : 1) the actual Cyclops-program
  5.                      2) a little explanation (this text)
  6.                      3) a slideshow, showing off the capabilities of
  7.                         Cyclops.
  8.  
  9. About Cyclops V1.0 :
  10. --------------------

  12. Main Screen :
  13. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  14.     - Draw     : Start drawing the picture (a typical picture takes approx.
  15.                  15 secs. to draw).
  16.  
  17.     - Stop     : Stop drawing. This is the only function that works during
  18.                  the drawing.
  19.  
  20.     - Show     : Shows the entire picture, finished, or partly finished if
  21.                  you aborted during the drawing. Click again for main menu.
  22.  
  23.     - Cycle    : Toggles cycling on/off. It is possible to cycle while
  24.                  drawing. There are several types of cycling. More on that
  25.                  later (see the Color Menu).
  26.  
  27.     - Mirror   : 0, 2 or 4 mirrors. 
  28.                  0 : no mirrors
  29.                  2 : picture mirrored vertically
  30.                  4 : picture mirrored both vertically and horizontally
  31.  
  32.     - Negative : Toggle negative mode on/off (Invert picture).
  33.  
  34.     - Save     : Go to Save Menu. More on that later...
  35.  
  36.     - Exit     : Back to DOS.

  38.     - ColorMenu: Go to Color Menu. More on that later...

  40. All the other functions are the parameters with which you can play around
  41. to alter the cyclepicture to your taste. I'm not going to explain these in
  42. detail. It is best to experiment with them yourself.

  44. Color Menu :
  45. ~~~~~~~~~~~~
  46. This menu lets you change the colors and the type of cycling.

  50.     - RGB-sliders : Change each color seperately.

  53.     - R <-> G     : Swap red and green values.
  54.  
  55.     - G <-> B     : Swap green and blue values.
  56.  
  57.     - R <-> B     : Swap red and blue values.
  58.  
  59.     - Reverse     : Reverse entire color range.
  60.  
  61.     - Reverse R   : Reverse only red-value on whole range.
  62.  
  63.     - Reverse G   : The same for green.
  64.  
  65.     - Reverse B   : The same for blue.
  66.  
  67.     - Reset       : Standard colors.
  68.  
  69.     - Bitplanes   : You can switch between 4 or 5 bitplanes (16 or 32
  70.                     colors).

  72.     Cycling :

  74.     - Cyclespeed  : Change cyclespeed (00 = fast, 0F is slow).

  76.     - Cycling     : Change type of cycling (00 - 07).

  78.     - Color 0     : Here you can select whether color 0 (background) is
  79.                     included or excluded from the cycling-range.

  81. Save Menu :

  83. Select the drive you'd like to save your picture to : DF0: or DF1:
  84. You can save the picture in IFF-format or as a RAW-file.
  85. To save the picture, first type in the name, then click on SAVE IFF or
  86. SAVE RAW.

  88. Click on GET DIR to 'refresh' the directory.

  90. Click on MAIN to get back to the main screen.
